Three members of the BPG team recently completed a three-day training course on the CDMc Regulations.  Work is now underway to review all the company procedures to ensure compliance.

September Photovoltaics seem to be the flavour of the month, with BPG securing projects for Origin Housing across London and the South-East and for Mitie in the Waverley area.

The official opening of Alliance House, Portsmouth has taken place.  The development of 58 residential units was undertaken on behalf of Drum Housing Association.

August BPG have been appointed by Johnston Sweepers to design a new manufacturing facility at their Dorking site comprising a 114,000ft2 building with 11,000ft2 of office space.  Detailed planning consent was achieved in December 2010 and the project is expected to go to tender in September 2011.

BPG have recently been commissioned to design three new classrooms for St Paul's Catholic Primary School in Portsmouth.

We have been commissioned by Southern Housing Group to prepare a feasibility report in regard to the windows on one of their first Samuel Lewis developments, the Liverpool Road Estate, Islington.  This was completed in 1910 for the grand sum of £101,000 and now 101 years old it is time to have a serious look at the windows.

The estate now comprises 270 flats in five and a bit blocks, all of which are Grade II listed.  We will be undertaking detailed internal inspections to ascertain the condition of the Century old fenestration only after which will we advise on whether they should be conserved or renewed.
In any event the cost of the recommended works will no doubt dwarf the original building costs for the whole estate, an unavoidable result of over 100 years of inflation!

February Brodie Plant Goddard will be attending the Chartered Institute of Housing Conference this year between Tuesday 8 and Thursday 10 March.  To seek your fortune, visit us on Stand 2.
