The renewal of roof coverings to a substantial private house in Reigate, Surrey. Hand made clay tiles were used for both the main roof and the vertical tiling firstly, to replicate the original roof coverings and secondly, to complement the style of the property.
A temporary roof ensured that the property remained dry and watertight during the course of the works, despite some particularly large storms, and also allowed the works to continue unabated.
The total area of the roof is in the order of 270m2 and the work cost £120,000.
