| Bruntland Report |
Everyone has a global responsibility to protect the environment and adopt a sustainable attitude to life in the 21st century. With a need to address the 'triple bottom line', a concept which takes into account economic, environmental and social values, the built environment makes a real contribution to the future through a sustainable approach.
The basic principles of sustainable development are to increase the well-being of the occupants, to reduce the impact on the environment and to provide a greater return for its investor. Contrary to general opinion, sustainable building does not necessarily cost more.
With in a wide range of experience, Brodie Plant Goddard encourages every client to adopt a sustainable approach. Our designs offer enhanced living and working space, enhanced energy efficiency with significant reductions in CO2 emissions and water consumption, as well as enhanced value.
In September 2010 Brodie Plant Goddard underwent their final assessment by the British Standard Institute to become fully accredited under BS14001.
