BPG’s latest mixed use development project has been submitted for planning approval. We were approached by the new owner of the site to review the previously developed scheme for the site that gained planning permission in 2017. The existing site comprises of a restaurant at ground floor level and two residential units at first floor level. The new proposal retains the restaurant use at ground floor level while providing a total of 8no residential units at first and second floor level each. The roof has been designed to provide a garden for the use of all the residents.

The proposal has been designed to comply with the local authority’s energy requirement to achieve a 35% reduction in carbon dioxide emissions beyond Part L (2013) of Building Regulations and to meet the zero carbon homes standard. Renewable technologies like ASHP & Solar PV have been incorporated into the development as part of the sustainability measures for the project.
