Chris’s career started in 1985 at the Department of Environment’s Property Services Agency. Four years later, he joined BPG as a Building Surveyor, became an Associate in 1995 and Director and shareholder in 2002.
Contract Administration for multi-million projects is Chris’s specialty, predominately in the public sector for Local Authorities and Housing Associations, and has particular expertise in implementing Partnering schemes to deliver long-term Decent Homes programmes.
Chris also fulfills the role of quantity surveyor, giving complete responsibility of projects from initial design to final account.
BSc | Building Surveyor
Colm is a Building Surveyor and has been working in the construction industry for over thirty years.
Prior to joining BPG in 2007 he worked for ten years within a Local Authority and gained vast experience in providing supervisory, professional and technical services to Education and Housing clients as well as the end users.
Colm is experienced in carrying out works under the Equality Act (2010) and the Construction Design and Management Regulations (2015); he is also experienced in the preparation of feasibility studies and supervising projects from inception through to completion. Current projects with which Colm is involved include two major commercial refurbishment schemes and a number of new housing developments.
Maria trained at Escuela Tecnica Superior de Arquitectura, Universidad Politecnica de Valencia. She moved to the UK in 2004 and completed her Post Graduate Diploma in Architecture at the University of Westminster. She was appointed an Associate at BPG in September 2019.
Prior to joining BPG she worked for 7 years for an architectural practice specialising in education projects from client briefing stage to completion. Her previous project experience includes retail and residential refurbishment projects.
During these years she has proven herself to be an extremely capable architect in management and design terms, taking a particular interest in specification writing and interiors. Furthermore she has gained extensive experience of contract administration, site overseeing and of working in projects within the context of ‘live’ buildings where the continued use of the development is required by the client during construction phases.
Robin graduated from Greenwich University in 1979 and in 1988 with Michael Brodie and John Plant established Brodie Plant Goddard.
Robin’s experience includes housing projects, both new build and refurbishment with particular knowledge of sheltered housing and disabled adaptations; improvement works to commercial property, Police Authority buildings and court premises; works within schools and other educational establishments as well as works to private residential property.
BAssociate(Hons) RIBA PGDip MA
Samantha joined BPG in 2006 as a Graduate from Brighton University where she gained a BA(Hons) in Architecture. With the support of BPG she went on to complete her Post Graduate Diploma in Architecture with Distinction in 2010 at the University of Portsmouth and completed her final year of studies to become a fully Chartered Architect in January 2012. She was appointed an Associate at BPG in September 2016.
Samantha’s experience at BPG includes work on a new teaching block for a girl’s school in Fulham, a project that she was involved with since its initial conceptual design stages.
Other works in the educational sector include work on a courtyard infill for a local primary school, Powell Corderoy, Eastbrook Primary School, RGS Guildford, Norbury Primary School and Holy Trinity School.
Rosemary joined BPG in 2014 as a graduate from the University of Nottingham where she gained her Part 1 degree: MEng (Hons) in Architecture and Environmental Design.
Rosemary’s experience at BPG includes work on a variety of projects including a traffic management project for The National Trust, Brighton Police Station refurbishment, works at Horsham, Crawley and Burgess Hill hospitals and external wall insulation works at three tower blocks in Southampton.
Following two years at Secretarial College Diana started her working career with an estate agency in Dorking as the office junior. Within two years she had been promoted to PA to the proprietor and was also manager of the small portfolio of rental properties. In 1986 she became secretary to the Estates Department of the People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals handling repairs and refurbishments to all the veterinary practices and shops across the country.
Following relocation of the PDSA, Diana joined BPG in 1989, just a year after their inception when the practice was rapidly expanding, as a team secretary. Over the years her knowledge of the practice has made her an invaluable part of the team and she is now Office Manager and Senior Secretary.
SENIOR BUILDING SURVEYOR
MSc AaPS MFPWS
Dean joined BPG in April 2021 after 6 successful years working as a building surveyor in and around Surrey. Dean’s experience in the construction sector is wide and varied, from training as a carpenter in the early 1990’s, progressing his career to team leader before embarking on a 10 year teaching career. He taught HNC and HND Construction until 2015 when he left the teaching profession to follow his strong desire to return back into the construction sector, completing his MSc in building surveying in 2018.
Dean’s experience as a building surveyor is varied, including acting as contract administrator, project manager, party wall surveyor and principal designer on a number of projects.
Peter has over 20 years’ experience as a Project Manager and Building Surveyor specializing in the social housing and building industries. He has successfully managed projects for the Ministry of Defense, Local Authorities, Housing Associations and House builders.
Peter joined the surveying team at BPG in February 2016 primarily to oversee the £7 million Sidney Estate project for Origin Housing as well as other housing projects in the vicinity for Southern Housing Group.
Dip Arch ARB RIBA
Antonietta has a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Construction Technology and a Master’s degree in Architecture and Urban Design, from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”. She moved to the UK in 2015 and joined BPG in 2020 as an Architect bringing her passion for sustainability and environmental design to the practice.
Antonietta has over eight years of architectural experience and is competent in all stages of the design process from inception through to completion. She has experience in a wide range of sectors including retail, education and mixed-use development schemes. Antonietta has also worked on several projects in the residential sector ranging from small private residences and specialist housing schemes to large regeneration projects.
Prior to joining BPG, Antonietta worked for several well-known architecture and interior design practices in Rome and London, which has given her the opportunity to work on projects in several sectors at different scales. She has a great conceptual design skills, technical knowledge and site overseeing experience.
BA (Hons) DipARCH RIBA
Peter completed a BTEC in Building Studies at Hertfordshire College of Building, which gave him a good technical understanding of construction. He studied Architect at University of Portsmouth where he completed his BA (Hons) Degree & Diploma (Arch). The latter included 1 year study at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Australia. Peter completed his Pt3 at Kingston University & became fully qualified member of the RIBA in 1995.
He has extensive experience on various projects in many sectors including Healthcare, Education, Commercial, Residential, Government, Transport, Police, Data/Tech, Hotel & Retail. He has worked for several top 50 Design Consultancies & Architecture Practices.
He has always held a great interest in 3D Modelling as part of the design & client engagement process, most recently with VR. He has extensive Revit experience dating back to 2008 and has been a keen advocate of BIM & an active member of the London Revit User Group since 2012, keeping appraised of technology developments in the industry.
Beverley joined BPG in 2019 as a graduate from Oxford Brookes University where she gained a distinction for her Part II degree: MArchD in Applied Design in Architecture (ARB and RIBA part II). During the course, she specialised in Research-led Design and worked in the Bio-Digital Craft design unit where she furthered her knowledge and interest in sustainability and technology. She is currently studying for her part 3 qualification.
Since joining BPG Beverley has worked on a variety of projects covering a range of sectors. Her primary focus has been on residential and hospitality projects and she was heavily involved in the change of use of Voyager House, a two storey former office building that was transformed into a ‘health hub’ for the local community.
Prior to BPG Beverley has worked as an architectural assistant at a leading architectural practice assisting with the design of an airport in Mexico City and a commercial office tower in New York’s Hudson Yards.
Rachel joined BPG in 2020 continuing her career in Architecture as an Architectural Assistant. She graduated from the University of West England in 2020 completing her part 1 studies and obtaining a BSc (hons) in Architecture.
Rachel has a passion for design and is gaining valuable experience in a range of sectors at the practice. Previous to BPG Rachel has worked in a variety of design positions bringing her unique flair and talent to every role.
Hon joined BPG in 2021 as a graduate from University of Kent, achieving a Merit for his Part II Degree; MArch in Applied Design in Architecture (ARB and RIBA Part II). Throughout his masters, he was part of Unit 4, 4 of the available units offered by the University of Kent. Unit 4 prioritised sustainability, looking into areas such as the circular economy, net-zero carbon, as well as the RIBA Sustainable Outcomes. This has further gained his interest and knowledge of sustainability.
Previous to BPG and his Part II degree, Hon has worked within a private building practice under the RICS, primarily focusing on surveying private residential houses for small projects such as loft conversions and small extensions. Throughout his 15 months in the company, he has had hands-on experience in Autocad, Photoshop, Lumion as well as personal experience in surveying residential blocks.
Samuel joined BPG in 2021 as an Architectural Assistant after graduating from the University of Plymouth in 2020 with a BA(Hons) in Architecture. Throughout his degree Samuel worked on a diverse range of projects including modular social housing, a psychotherapy centre and a community art hub.
Prior to joining BPG Samuel worked for an experience and exhibition design agency in London as an Intern working on international museum projects. Samuel has a strong passion for community architecture, design and sustainable technology and is looking forward to furthering his career by developing his knowledge in these areas.
Toby graduated from Portsmouth University in 2007 with a degree in computer animation. From there his passion for CGI and creating realistic renderings lead him to starting a career as an Architectural Visualiser.
Toby has been working as an architectural visualiser for over 13 years, in that time he has worked at several architectural practices and as a freelancer. Previous to joining BPG he has produced several large commercial and residential visualisations as well as marketing material to accompany these developments.
